The Daily Challenge gives everyone the same timing task for the day. It is a compact way to test your pulse, then come back later and see whether you can beat your own best result.
How a Daily run works
- Listen to the count-in. Use it to settle into the tempo before scoring begins.
- Keep tapping when the click stops. There is no click to follow, so you carry the beat yourself.
- Finish the whole round. TempoLock measures the timing of the taps across the silent section.
- Improve your best score. Your best result for that day is the one that matters on the Daily leaderboard.
What it trains
Can you keep the same beat once the external reference disappears?
A shared daily task makes it easy to compare your first attempt with later attempts under the same conditions.
Repeated early or late taps can reveal whether you tend to rush, drag or gradually move away from the starting tempo.
There is no level choice to make: open the Daily Challenge and play the same task as everyone else.
How the result is labelled
TempoLock uses the same broad score landmarks across the main timing modes. Stars are progression markers; Locked In is the high-end band, and Perfect is 10,000.
| Result | Threshold |
|---|---|
| 1★ | 6,500 |
| 2★ | 8,000 |
| 3★ | 9,200 |
| Locked In | 9,800+ |
| Perfect | 10,000 |
Look at the direction and size of your timing error as well as the score. A slightly lower score with less rushing can still be progress.
Three attempts, then stop
Play once without overthinking it. On attempt two, focus only on hearing the subdivision internally. On attempt three, relax your movement and aim for the same physical tap each time. Keeping the session short makes the comparison more meaningful.
