Practice Mode has no stars, unlocks or leaderboards. You set up a timing exercise and repeat it.
Set up the exercise
Choose the BPM instead of accepting a fixed level.
Set the time signature so the visual and count structure match the music you are practising.
Use the timing display when you want immediate early/late feedback.
Leave the click running when you want a normal metronome-supported practice phrase.
Gap Trainer: make the click disappear on purpose
Gap Trainer alternates click bars with silent bars. During the silent bars you continue the pulse yourself, then the returning click tells you whether you held the same tempo. It sits between ordinary metronome practice and the silent sections in Timing Trials.
Why there is no score
Some practice goes worse when every repetition is judged, so Practice Mode does not award stars, Locked In or Perfect. You can repeat a movement, groove or subdivision until it changes, with timing feedback there when you want it.
Four bars click, four bars silent
Start at a comfortable tempo. Play four bars with the click, then four without it. When the click returns, notice whether it feels ahead of you or behind you. Resist the urge to make a sudden correction; instead, change how you feel the next silent section.
Use it with an instrument
You do not need to tap every exercise directly on the screen. Practice Mode can act as a visual/audio reference while you play drums, guitar, bass, keys or another instrument. Tap the pad when you want your timing measured; otherwise just play along.
