These Terms govern use of TempoLock, which is operated by Michael Eddy. By creating an account or using account features you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, you may stop using the service.
1. The service
TempoLock is a timing game and musician practice tool with timing exercises, daily challenges, practice tools, scores, public leaderboards and optional account synchronisation.
2. Accounts
Parts of TempoLock can be used as a guest. If you create an account, keep access to your email/social-provider account secure and do not attempt to access another person's TempoLock account.
3. Public names and leaderboards
Choose a lawful, appropriate TempoLock name. Usernames, optional countries, scores, ranks and related gameplay statistics can be public. TempoLock may remove or rename content that is abusive, misleading, infringing or otherwise inappropriate.
4. Fair play and acceptable use
Do not manipulate requests, automate ranked submissions, exploit bugs, falsify scores, interfere with users/services, probe systems without authorisation or bypass security/anti-abuse measures. Suspicious/corrupted results may be invalidated and abusive access may be restricted.
5. Intellectual property
TempoLock's original code, design, branding, text and other original service content are protected by applicable intellectual-property law. Third-party names, logos and services remain the property of their owners.
6. Third-party services
TempoLock relies on or links to services including Supabase, Google, Meta/Facebook, jsDelivr and Buy Me a Coffee. Their own terms/policies apply to their services.
7. Availability and changes
TempoLock is evolving. Features, scoring systems, leaderboards and stored data may change, be interrupted or be discontinued. Reasonable care is taken to keep the service working, but uninterrupted or error-free operation is not guaranteed.
8. Disclaimer and liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, TempoLock is provided “as is” for entertainment and practice. It is not a professional medical, safety-critical or diagnostic timing system. Nothing in these Terms excludes statutory rights or liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
9. Suspension and termination
Access may be restricted for serious abuse, security threats, unlawful conduct or repeated manipulation. You may stop using TempoLock at any time and may delete a signed-in account using the deletion controls.
10. Privacy and cookies
Personal-data use is described in the Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy.
11. Changes to these Terms
The current version and date are published here. Mandatory consumer rights under applicable law are unaffected.
