Open Tools from the TempoLock home screen. Nothing here is scored, and every tool uses the same audio and calibration settings as the games.
Metronome
The metronome covers 30–300 BPM, custom time signatures, beat subdivisions, optional bar accent and multiple click sounds. A beat-linked visual runs alongside the audio so you can see the bar position without turning the tool into a game.
Polyrhythm and polymeter
Polyrhythm mode lets two evenly spaced pulse counts share the same cycle, including common ratios such as 3:2, 4:3, 5:4 and more unusual combinations. Polymeter mode keeps a shared tempo while two different bar lengths cycle against each other, such as 3/4 against 4/4. Stereo output can separate the two layers left and right.
Tap Tempo
Tap naturally on the screen or use the space bar. TempoLock estimates BPM from the recent intervals and also shows timing jitter, which is useful when a tempo estimate keeps moving because the taps themselves are inconsistent.
Tempo Ramp
Choose a start tempo, target tempo, step size and how often the change happens. The ramp can move after a chosen number of beats or bars, making it useful for technique work where you want the tempo to increase gradually without stopping to adjust a metronome.
Rudiment Trainer
The rudiment tool includes the PAS 40 rudiments plus basic stroke exercises. It can show left/right sticking, use tone or spoken left/right guidance, separate hands in stereo, run fixed-bar practice and ramp the tempo automatically. The on-screen hand pads also support keyboard input for repeatable timing practice.
Build a ten-minute routine
Spend two minutes finding a comfortable tempo with Tap Tempo, three minutes on a metronome subdivision, three minutes on a rudiment or instrument exercise, then finish with a short tempo ramp. Keep the routine the same each day so you can hear the change.
